Visiting the Family Room

Take a break together as a family at the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Wollongong Hospital.

Our Ronald McDonald Family Room offers respite for you and your family while visiting or staying with a child in hospital. Step away from the ward and into our Family Room where our volunteers can make you a cup of tea or you can enjoy a freshly baked muffin or piece of cake. You’ll find a full kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities, as well as a comfortable lounge space and children’s play area.

Eligibility

We want to make sure families have a home-away-from-home inside the Hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward. That’s why our Family Room is free and open to all families whose children are undergoing inpatient or outpatient treatment at Wollongong Hospital.

Fees

Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are free of charge. Thanks to generous donations, families have a space away from the wards to relax and simply be together. If you would like to offer support or make a donation of goods to our Family Room, please contact our House.
