Visiting the Family Room
Take a break and be together as a family at the Ronald McDonald Family Room Queensland Children’s Hospital.
Our Ronald McDonald Family Room is a refuge for you and your family while visiting or staying with a child receiving treatment at QLD Children’s Hospital. Step away from the ward and into our inviting Family Room where you’ll find a cosy lounge, a kitchenette and complimentary refreshments. Our room offers a space for children to play, with toys, books, games and activities.
Our Ronald McDonald Family Room is managed by our QCH Family Room and House Coordinator and supported by our dedicated staff and volunteers.
We want to make sure families have a home-away-from-home inside the Hospital, away from the clinical environment of the ward. That’s why our Family Room is free and open to all families with children undergoing in or outpatient treatment at QLD Children’s Hospital.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are free of charge. Thanks to generous donations, families have a space away from the wards to recoup and simply be together.
