Ronald McDonald House Monash works to enhance the quality of life for families with sick children by providing a home-away-from-home that is welcoming, caring and supportive.
Each family who stays at the House has their own unique story, but all have a place to rest and recover so they can face their challenges. We offer families a shoulder to lean on yet privacy when they need it. Families have safety, comfort and peace of mind when they stay with us.
Our goal is to ensure that we never have to turn away eligible families who need our services.
Since opening in 1993 we have helped over 10,000 families who have needed to travel to care for their sick child at Monash Children’s Hospital.
Located in Clayton on the hospital grounds, the House is just a few minutes walk from the hospital wards.
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and can accommodate 15 families each and every night.
WHAT'S ON AT RMH MONASH
McHappy Day 2016
Join us for McHappy Day this year on Saturday, 12th November as we celebrate 25 years of this wonderful fundraising day! Keep your eye out on this page as we will be sharing what all the local McDonald's stores will be doing this McHappy Day - so watch this space and find out what your local store will be doing! Last year on McHappy Day, together we raised $3.6m to help seriously ill children and their families - a target we aim to beat in 2016. Funds raised on McHappy Day go towards Ronald McDonald House Charities Australia's (RMHC) essential programs including Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program and Ronald McDonald Family Retreats. Over the last 30 years more than 120,000 Australian families have benefited through RMHC programs. Almost 350 families used the Monash House last year alone, and more are expected this year. Please join us for all the festivities and fundraising for this year's McHappy Day!
