Located in the beautiful seaside town of Batemans Bay, 160km south east of Canberra, Our Retreat consists of two fully self-contained three - bedroom units, providing the perfect retreat for families with seriously ill children. In partnership with McDonalds, this Retreat is made possible thanks to the passion and commitment of Ronald McDonald House Charities ACT & South East NSW.
Ronald McDonald Family Retreat Batemans Bay is run by a team of passionate volunteers led by Family Retreat Coordinator, Robyn Shannon. The team is committed to ensuring our retreat remains a special place where families can spend precious time together in a beautiful setting.
The Ronald McDonald Family Retreat is free of charge to eligible families.

Ronald McDonald Family Retreat Batemans Bay is an idyllic retreat located in Rosedale, 20 minutes south of the laidback town of Batemans Bay. Our two units are metres from a short bushwalking track leading down to the sea and a viewing platform with 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean. Simply relax and enjoy the serene bushland surroundings of the Retreat itself, or take a day trip to one of Batemans Bay’s beautiful beaches, visit Mogo Zoo or enjoy a cruise along the Clyde River.
Our Ronald McDonald Family Retreat is located 20 mins south of Batemans Bay in Rosedale. Public transport in the area is very limited, the retreat is best accessed by car.
Our Family Retreat consists of two spacious and comfortable three - bedroom units, perfect for families looking for a bit of respite and some quality time together.
Our two seaside units are private and fully self-contained, with all the comforts and amenities you’d expect, including an outdoor dining and a barbecue area for enjoying a home-cooked meal beneath the stars. Both units have limited disabled access and share a communal games room, complete with a foosball table and plenty of games for the whole family.
