The focus of Ronald McDonald House Charities work is to improve the health and well being of seriously ill children.

We carry this out by creating, finding, operating and supporting programs that help seriously ill children and their families while they receive medical treatment, and assist recovering children return to normal life.

Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are a comfortable retreat for parents and families of children having day treatment at a hospital, and for families with children undergoing longer-term treatment who live close to the hospital.

Story of the Month
Swimming with sea lions off the coast of Jurien Bay in Western Australia, 16-year old Amber Miller felt free. The temporarily wheelchair-bound teenager from Mount Helena, east of Perth, says the experience made her momentarily forget the illness that has consumed her life for the past two years. <br />“It was amazing to be so close to the sea lions in their natural habitat,” she says. “Afterwards, we went swimming and snorkelling – the whole day was great.”
