Ways to Help
Our Chapter relies heavily on corporate and community support to operate and provide accommodation and services for seriously ill children and their families, 365 days of the year.
It costs $154 per night to accommodate one family at Ronald McDonald House Westmead, so financial support is vital to keeping our doors open.
There are many ways to lend a helping hand and provide the support that seriously ill children and their families need, from making a financial contribution or committing to regular giving, or donating goods in-kind to assist with the general operations at the House and the comfort of our families, or you can choose to contribute to our regular giving program.
You don't have to donate a huge amount to make a difference - you can donate a little, regularly - as little as $1 a day.
Regular Givers are such an important part of the RMH Westmead community. By supporting us with a weekly, fortnightly or monthly donation, you ensure that we can plan for the future, whilst continuing to provide accommodation for regional families with a seriously ill child right now.
Regular donations can be made from your credit card with a receipt issued to show your donation history for taxation purposes. Simply select the amount and frequency you wish to give when you make a donation.
WORKPLACE GIVING & PAYROLL DEDUCTION
Workplace giving is a payroll contribution scheme where direct pre-tax donations from registered employees have a positive and lasting impact on the lives of families with seriously ill children.
How it works: Donations are deducted each pay period direct from your gross salary, by arrangement with your employer's payroll department. All you need to do is decide on the amount you wish to give, it's that simple.
Because your donations are processed through your pay you receive an immediate, guaranteed tax deduction - you do not have to collect, keep and claim receipts. Contributions are pre-tax and tax-free! For tax advice, it is recommended you contact your Accountant or Tax Advisor.
For more information donating regularly or via payroll, please contact Fundraising on (02) 9806 7111 or via email to supportingGWS@rmhc.org.au.
