SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND CHAPTER
The Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland Chapter operates the following programs:
- Ronald McDonald House Herston
- Ronald McDonald House South Brisbane
- Ronald McDonald House at LCCH
- Ronald McDonald Family Room Gold Coast Hospital NICU
- Ronald McDonald Family Room Gold Coast Hospital Children’s Ward
- Ronald McDonald Family Room at LCCH
RMH SEQ Mater opens in July as the first Ronald McDonald House in Brisbane.
RMH SEQ Mater is extended to 21 rooms.
RMH SEQ Herston opened in October.
The Herston House is extended to 50 rooms, making it the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE SOUTH EAST QUEENSLAND
Both houses amalgamate boards forming RMHSEQ INC.
Two Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are opened at the NICU and Paediatric & the Critical Care Children’s Unit at the Gold Coast University Hospital.
A Ronald McDonald House (10 emergency overnight accommodation) at the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital opens along with a Ronald McDonald Family Room in LCCH on Level 6.
Ronald McDonald House Mater closed in October 2016. In November 2016 Ronald McDonald Hous South Brisbane was officially opened.

Ronald McDonald House South East Queensland raises funds to support the accommodation and services we provide to seriously ill children and their families.
