Our Chapter

Our Chapter is run and supported by a dedicated team of staff, volunteers, Board Members, ambassadors and patrons who bring our mission to life.

We are proud to have ambassadors across sport, news and entertainment who understand our Chapter's mission and generously give their time and support to continue Keeping Families Close.

There’s a reason that volunteers are called the Heart of the House and its because we simply wouldn’t exist without them. It is only with the support of over 100 volunteers that we can keep our doors open and programs running, 365 day of the year.

Volunteers perform a range a roles across the House and Nepean Family Room, from housekeeping, to staying overnight, gardening to assisting with fundraising events, baking, reception and administrative roles.

Ronald McDonald House Westmead is governed by a strong, experienced, and very committed Board.

The Board is responsible for overseeing the governance and performance of the organisation, as well as setting and monitoring its strategic direction and work priorities.

The Board meets ten times each year, and a number of standing committees also help it to undertake its work efficiently, including the Strategy and Capital Campaign Committees.
