Our staff are dedicated to supporting our families and making use that the experience of staying at Ronald McDonald House Westmead is a positive one. No matter what role they are employed in, they bring a positive, caring and professional approach to all they do.
There’s a reason that volunteers are called the Heart of The House and that’s because we couldn’t keep our doors open and programs running if we didn’t have the dedication of our volunteers. Our volunteer roles range from housekeeping, to staying overnight, gardening to assisting with fundraising events, baking, reception and administrative roles, along with those who support our other programs such as the Learning Program and our first Family Room at Nepean Hospital.
One of our volunteers loves our families so much that she has been dedicated to serving them for 26 years! Another group of friends have been volunteering for 16 years.
All volunteers are required to complete a Working With Children check and a Criminal Record check before starting.
If you are keen to get involved in volunteering for the House, you can find out more about Volunteering, including the roles we are looking to fill, on the Volunteering page. You can also submit your details directly online using the Volunteering Application form.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email our Volunteer Manager, Josh Binns, on firstname.lastname@example.org or call us on (02) 9845 0600.
