Staying With Us

Ronald McDonald House Perth is a home away from home for regional WA families with a seriously ill or injured child receiving treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital.

Our new state-of-the-art 47 bedroom House was opened in December 2015 in Nedlands. To see inside the House and guide yourself through a virtual tour, CLICK HERE

Families must live at least 100kms from Perth and have a seriously ill child receiving medical treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital (PMH) or King Edward Memorial Hospital. To minimise risk to children with weak immune systems, anyone who is suffering from or who has recently been exposed to a communicable disease is asked to let us know well in advance and may be required to find alternative accommodation (including family members with colds or flu).

WA families who live over 100kms from the hospital are covered by PATS (Patient Assistance Travel Scheme) and all necessary paperwork is required to be completed with PATS prior to arrival.

Here at the House families can stay together in a home-like environment for the duration of a child’s treatment. Stays can range from one day to years at a time.

You will need to bring your personal clothing and personal care items. Each night of the week our full-time chefs will provide a lovely home cooked meal as part of the Home For Dinner program. This allows our families to spend quality time together and not have to worry about cooking each night. Breakfast is also provided each morning however lunch is not provided in the House.
