Movie Under The Stars
Sara Perry & Belle Property Castle Hill are proud to present “Movie Under The Stars” in support of Ronald McDonald House Westmead. Ronald Mc Donald House Westmead is built on the simple belief that when a child is seriously ill, nothing should stand in the way of their family staying close to support them during a challenging time. For many families, the house provides a safe haven where there’s no need to worry about where they can afford to stay, where their next meal will come from or where they will lay their heads to rest. The Ronald McDonald House Westmead holds a very special place in Sara’s heart, so we have decided to put together a family fun day out where your family can also make difference. So please come along, bring your families & a picnic blanket & enjoy the day with Sara Perry & The Belle Property family to help raise much needed funds for the families who call Ronald McDonald House Westmead home. The special events planned for the day include: • Boutique Market Stalls • Rides, Carnival Games, Jumping Castle • Face Painting • Meet & Great Popular Disney Characters • Food Trucks such as “Bella Shack & The Bearded Bakers “ • The Golden Ridge Animal Farm Petting zoo • Outdoor Cinema playing a family movie • Entertainment & special guest appearances • DJ all day • Fireworks and so much more.... The Hobart House supports over 300 families a year from rural and regional Tasmania. Ronald McDonald House provides security, safety and support in what is often the most difficult time of many people’s lives and research tells us that family proximity to the hospital provides important psychological benefits for patients and their families. Thermomix - Tasmanian Branch The Tasmanian branch of Thermomix has chosen Ronald McDonald House Charity to fundraise this year, already raising almost $2000 at the RMHC Ball in August, through a Thermomix that was that was auctioned. A further $3000 is hoping to be raised through this event. One of the Thermomix team leaders in the North West of the state nominated this charity for Thermomix to support, as she spent almost a year living at Ronald McDonald House after her baby was born very early, a priceless gift she remembers and is forever grateful for. " Ronald McDonald House is special to me and close to my hear because I’ve lived there for 129 nights. I’ve been part of the family and supported by the lovely volunteers and fellow residents. 14 years and 9 months ago, I was rushed from my Devonport home to RHH via Royal Flying Doctors Service where I had my baby boy at 29 weeks, he weighed a tiny 530g. Xavier needed special care at the NICU ward for many months. I was fortunate to be able to stay very close to him at no cost through Ronald McDonald house. Myself and my husband will always be extremely grateful for the assistance we received" - Meg Bowden, Team Leader in Devonport for Thermomix in Tasmania.
