Ronald McDonald House Charities is proud to announce a partnership with Royal Far West and launch the first ever Ronald McDonald Care Mobile in Australia; to provide child health services and health promotion to families living in rural and remote NSW.

The operation of the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be managed co-operatively by Royal Far West and the Board of the soon to be built Ronald McDonald House in Orange.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be utilised by teams of Royal Far West clinicians to provide health services and health promotion to patients in areas of country NSW who have been referred to their Manly-based service. The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile will be administered from RMH Orange and travel throughout rural and remote NSW.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a purpose built 12 metre long vehicle with two clinical consulting rooms. Royal Far West clinicians will provide a range of health care and promotion services which may include paediatrics, speech therapy, dietetics, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychiatry and social work. The use of technologies such as video conferencing will be integrated into the services provided.

Royal Far West is a charitable non-government organisation that has been providing services to enhance the health and wellbeing of country children for over 85 years.
