The Heart of The House

Volunteers are vital to our House. Currently we have a team of dedicated and committed volunteers who play a valuable role in the day to day running of our House and caring for our families.

They help out in all areas, nothing is too much trouble!

Volunteering Opportunities at Ronald McDonald House Parkville
Volunteers can come from a variety of occupations and backgrounds and may include individuals, community or corporate groups or schools.

Life experience can be a volunteer’s best qualification. Flexibility and a willingness to lend a hand where needed are prerequisites. Our volunteers can choose to participate a little or a lot, in house or off site.

Our program is hands on and support is needed in the following areas:
Administration / marketing - Eg. Office/reception, meet and greet families, supporting families as required, fundraising, additions to newsletters
House Operations - Eg. Baking/cooking, gardening, house cleaning, general maintenance, shopping
Specialist - Eg. Art and craft, children’s activities
Dinner Coordinators – assisting our dinner groups and being a representative of the House on the night
Alternatively, you may have a skill or hobby that may compliment and benefit our House. We would love to hear from you!

Please note, all volunteers are required to undergo a police check and Working with Children Check (WWC).
