MAKE A MEAL PROGRAM
Make a Meal program provides the opportunity for corporate teams and individuals to volunteer at the House.
The program is designed to provide a 'home cooked' meal including a dessert for our families staying at the house.
Often, our families are at the hospital throughout the day and not returning to the house until the evening. When they return they are exhausted and may not have the time or financial means to cook a healthy and delicious meal.
However, with this program, families can enjoy a meal without financial or time constrants and can also interact with other families and volunteers if they wish to do so.
Our families really appreciate make a meal teams coming to cook them a meal. Our goal in 2011 is to have at least one meal every week but we can't do this without your HELP!!

Why Volunteer?
Many people give their time freely to support others in the true spirit of giving.
The huge contribution volunteers make is priceless, yet they too gain from their sense of community spirit. Ronald McDonald House Mater relies on the generosity of our volunteer team, who enable us to continue our mission in assisting families with seriously ill or injured children. Volunteering at RMH gives you the opportunity to share your talents with others while learning new skills and making new friends.
We are currently recruiting volunteers to join our team. There are various positions available and we try to roster you at a day and time that suits you.
At present, we require volunteers in the following areas on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis, 24/7.
Weekend Volunteer Positions
- Room Cleaners
- Overnight Supervisors
- Office Administrators
- Evening Supervisors 5 - 9pm
Weekday Volunteer Positions
- Kitchen Duties
- Bakers
