Tamworth, NSW

The House is built on the grounds of the Tamworth Base Hospital.

It is a home away from home for families of seriously ill children being treated at hospital, providing accommodation and respite for their parents and carers. It also caters for children on day visits that are forced to travel long distances to receive medical treatment.

This House provides somewhere for them to rest and recuperate before beginning the long journey back home.

The House serves the people of the New England Northwest with strong links to Ronald McDonald House in the Hunter and is run by a local House Manager with support from volunteers and is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

We believe education is important and we are also there to help. A Learning Program operates within Northern NSW which provides assistance in the education 'catch up'for the children in our region, recovering from illness.
