Ronald McDonald House®
Accommodation for families so that they can stay near
the hospital whilst their child is being treated. As many
as 300 families will be sleeping at a Ronald McDonald
House tonight and 5,000 families each year.
Ronald McDonald Learning Program®
Tailored tuition for children who have missed school through
illness. Since 1998 more than 1500 children have received
help to catch up with their education from the Learning
Program.
In 2008, up to 500 families will be supported.
Ronald McDonald Family Rooms
A relaxing haven within hospitals for children and their
families. Spending time with a sick child in hospital
means not being able to return home for days. Our Family
Rooms provide a homely retreat for families and help reduce
stress.
To date there are three Ronald McDonald Family Rooms in Australia.
Ronald McDonald Family Retreat
Free holiday accomodation for families with seriously
ill children. Many families with sick children have not
had a holiday since the child became ill and this can
mean years without a much needed family holiday.
This year the Ronald McDonald Family Retreats may accommodate up to 240 families.
