Fundraising

Fundraising events and activities are vital in raising necessary funds to keep our House operating. Some of the events and activities that take place throughout the year include:

  • Raffles
  • Golf Days
  • RMH Annual Ball
  • BBQs
  • “Ride for Sick Kids”
  • “Ride for Life”

Sponsors

Our House depends on the support of the community groups, businesses and individuals to provide goods and services, supplies, cash donations and assistance with fund raising projects. All donations are Tax deductible and every dollar donated goes directly to the House.

Our "Tree of Love" recognises all contributions of more than $500 value; you will find it taking up a wall of the foyer in the House. Our major sponsors and contributors to the House are also displayed electronically in the foyer along with other RMHC programmes and upcoming House events.

It was the contributions and goodwill of the wider community that saw the House built and it is the ongoing support of the community that ensures the House continues to operate.

By supporting our Room Sponsorship Program you are offering families a helping hand during some of the most difficult times they may ever encounter.

The Room Sponsorship program ensures that the rooms at Ronald McDonald House Newcastle are beautifully kept and maintained for the out-of-town families who need a comfortable place to stay while in Newcastle seeking medical treatment for their sick children. Your sponsorship will help cover the costs associated with maintenance and operation of your room, ensuring it is always available for the hundreds of families that stay with us each year.

When you decide to Sponsor a Room, we know that your support comes from the heart, and we want to thank you as best we can upon receiving your donation:

  • We'll place a plaque on the door of the room prominently displaying your name certifying your adoption of the room.
  • We will also place a plaque on our "Tree of Love".
  • You'll receive a tax receipt applicable for the calendar year of each payment.
  • You'll have the first right of renewal on your room at the end of your commitment, should you wish to continue your sponsorship.
