About the Ball
Each year, RMHC hosts a gala fundraising ball in each state to raise funds for local RMHC programs. The balls are big 'musts' on the local social calendars and attract glittering arrays of celebrities and local personalities.
They are organised by voluntary Ball Committees, made up of McDonald’s owner/operators and like minded people
They raise significant amounts for their local Ronald McDonald Houses through ticket sales, sponsorships and charity auctions on the night.
The Ronald McDonald House Charities Mercedes-Benz Ball is Perth’s number one charity Ball with the hottest tickets in town snapped up 6 months prior to the night itself.
The Ball has also been voted a world beater, winning the fundraiser of the year title at the RMH Asia –Pacific Conference.
Silk Road was the theme of last years Ball and took guests on a magical journey through a myriad of sights, sounds and tastes, raising a whopping $700,000 along the way
Silk Road – A Night Under the Eastern Moon, held at Burswood Entertainment Complex, incorporated the cultures of Japan, Italy, China, Arabia, India and Turkey.
Guest MC Kamahl wowed the audience with an opening performance, before he and co-host Claudia Bertorello-Kell took guests along the historic trade route that linked traders, merchants, pilgrims and travellers through regions of Asia and the Mediterranean. The night
culminated in an amazing performance from the Silk Road All Stars, comprised of Russell Morris, Joe Camilleri, Ross Wilson and Lisa Edwards.
Our “A” list guests out dazzled each other, all getting into the spirit of the Silk Road theme. Almost 1000 people enjoyed the great entertainment, top quality food and delicious wine and bubbling champagne into the early hours of the morning in the Grand Ballroom at Burswood Entertainment Complex.
The generosity of everyone involved ensures that Ronald McDonald House Perth will continue to provide a home-away-from home for families wishing to stay together whilst a child undergoes treatment for a serious illness
We invite you to join us for another fantastic night on Saturday 6th November 2010 in the Grand Ballroom, of Burswood Entertainment Complex

The Ball Launch
“Passion” was launched on the 18th May on stage at Burswood in the true style the Ronald McDonald House Charities Mercedes-Benz Ball has become known for.
Guests at the Ball’s official launch were privileged to a glimpse of the rocking entertainment and elaborate Passion – 20 Years of Caring theme chosen to celebrate Ronald McDonald House’s 20th year in Western Australia.
Terry Creasey, RMHC Ball Committee Chairman, was understandably passionate about this year’s event, which will mark his 10th and final year as chairman of the RMHC Mercedes-Benz Ball. Terry’s time at the helm has seen the Ball continue its reign as Australasia’s most successful charity ball.
Commenting on this year’s theme, Terry said passion had “moved mountains, discovered countries, healed nations and placed footprints on the moon”.
“The staff and volunteers of Ronald McDonald House embody the spirit of passion, providing care to families when they need it most,” he said.
“This year’s Ball is dedicated to them, and it will be our biggest, most passionate celebration yet!”
Australian rock legend Jimmy Barnes will headline Perth’s largest and most popular birthday celebration this year – the 2010 Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Mercedes-Benz Ball.
Jimmy Barnes will bring down the house (for the House) with a full-throttle live rock performance. His good friend and rocking saxophonist, Wilbur Wilde of Hey Hey It’s Saturday will perform a duo with Barnes and MC the night.
The hallmark styling of the RMHC Mercedes-Benz Ball will again live up to its show-stopping entertainment. Burswood’s Grand Ballroom will engulf guests in the hues, scents, sounds and tastes of all things related to passion.
Janisson & Fils champagne will flow freely for VIP ball-goers, while Ferngrove Wines will complement the evening’s five-star menu.
Passion – 20 Years of Caring will be held at the Burswood Grand Ballroom on Saturday, 6 November.
