Criteria
Families with a child being treated for a serious illness at Sydney Children’s Hospital may be eligible to stay at Ronald McDonald House Randwick. Please consult with your child’s clinicians or your social worker, or call us on 02 9382 1622 to find out.
How to Book
The House is always very busy, and you must make a tentative booking as soon as your hospital appointments are fixed. We cannot confirm bookings until two working days before your scheduled arrival. Priority is always given to newly diagnosed patients from the country, and if we have no room for you and your family, we will assist you in finding alternate accommodation in close proximity of the Hospital.
What to bring
Just bring your personal effects and your favourite soft toy. The House provides everything else!There is a large dining room and a covered al fresco dining area, a fully equipped communal kitchen and food storage and fridge space for each family. We provide tea and coffee, some fresh fruit and frequent complimentary House dinners. We have a small library, TV rooms with gaming consoles; there is an outdoor playground, a children's play room with games, toys and DVDs.The Randwick Shopping Centre covers all your shopping needs and it is only a short walk away, as are a range of family friendly restaurants.
