Volunteer’s Week
Each year, Volunteer’s Week is held where the work, dedication and enthusiasm of volunteers in the community is acknowledged and celebrated. Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga holds a special get-together in early July where all our Volunteers (and we have over 80) are invited to attend. We wanted to share with you some of the photos taken at our afternoon tea.
Rotaract Reunion
Forty years ago, the Wagga Wagga Rotaract Club was established. Hundreds of young people aged between 18 and 28 were members over the years. A 40th anniversary reunion was held in July, 2009. Ex-Rotaractors from all over Australia returned to Wagga Wagga for a weekend of activities and reminiscing. Through the generosity of everyone attending, a cheque was presented to the House by the organising committee of Wendy, Chriss, Judy and Wendy. We were delighted to receive this donation and thank everyone very much.
Garage Sale
Our fundraising committee organised a garage sale which was held at the end of August.
Thank you to everyone who donated items for sale. All money raised on the day will directly benefit our House. We thank 93.1 StarFM for their ongoing support of Ronald McDonald House Wagga Wagga.What's New
As we move from winter into spring, I am pleased to be able to update you on our Wagga Wagga Ronald McDonald House. We have experienced a very busy winter period and welcomed many families to the House from the Riverina, South West Slopes and beyond.
The Board thanks all our wonderful volunteers for going ‘the extra mile’ to ensure that we have provided a welcome home away from home for our families.
