Network 10 
Network Ten (TEN) is ideally placed to make a difference in the community. TEN is a channel of choice for viewers, especially in the 18-49 demographic, and it supports causes which reflect the issues and concerns to this age group.
TEN is a proud major supporter of Ronald McDonald House Charities. The network contributes $30,000 each year to the Queensland Ronald McDonald House Ball.
As well as a generous cash contribution, TEN plays an integral role in promoting the Ball and McHappy Day each year with community service announcements and ongoing support via its national network and programs such as Australian Idol.
Each year TEN personalities bring their association with the charity to life, giving up their time to MC at the Queensland Ball and serve behind McDonald’s counters on McHappy Day.
Thanks to the network, last year’s Queensland RMHC Ball helped to raise a record $215,000, which has gone towards RMHC programs in Queensland, including the state’s three Ronald McDonald Houses, neighbouring the Mater Hospital, the Royal Brisbane Hospital and the Townsville Hospital.
Since TEN signed on as a major sponsor of RMHC, the Mater House has been able to double the number of bedrooms it provides from nine to 18, allowing more families to take advantage of the house’s low room rates and proximity to the hospital. Likewise, the Ronald McDonald Learning Program has also expanded into North Queensland, helping 12 children ‘catch up’ to their peers at school while recovering from a serious illness. |
