OUR HISTORY
The House opened in 1986 together with the support and commitment of the Royal Childrens Hospital, McDonalds Australia and various corporate and community supporters.

Extensive renovations were required to transform 4 Victorian terrace houses, which were built in the 1800’s, into our home away from home.
We have continued to grow over the years and we now occupy 11 terrace houses in Gatehouse Street with work recently completed at the end of December 2008 with our latest project.

As at the end of March 2010 we have accommodated over 411,130 nightly guests since opening in 1986.
